The ATEM Mini Pro sits in the middle of the rig. Three cameras and a laptop feed its four HDMI inputs, and a wireless lav receiver plugs into one of the two 3.5mm mic inputs. On the output side, the HDMI out drives a monitor showing the multiview, the USB-C port appears as a webcam on the record computer, and Ethernet sends the stream straight to YouTube or another RTMP platform.
This is the most common shape of a small multi-camera stream: talks, panels, webinars, church services and small concerts. If you use the base ATEM Mini instead of the Pro, drop the Ethernet cable and stream from the computer over USB instead.

Tips for a reliable ATEM Mini stream
- Match your frame rates. Set every camera and the laptop to the same resolution and frame rate as the ATEM (for example 1080p30). Mismatched sources are the most common reason an input shows black.
- Turn off camera overlays. Use each camera's clean HDMI output so focus peaking and battery icons do not end up on the stream.
- Watch your HDMI lengths. Passive HDMI is reliable to around 10 to 15 metres at 1080p. For a camera at the back of a hall, use an active or fiber HDMI cable, or check the distance with the cable length calculator.
- Wire the stream key before the day. Load your streaming settings into ATEM Software Control ahead of time and do a private test stream.
- Plan power. Cameras on batteries die mid-event. Dummy batteries or AC adapters are worth the extra cables.
